Whitewash Pedestal Table

I love how this pedestal table turned out; so much, in fact, that I would've kept it if it didn't make our breakfast nook too crowded {boo}.

For this finish, I applied a light coat {almost drybrushing} of thinned Old White chalk paint and then sanded, sanded, sanded away using 100-320 grit paper.  I then applied several layers of clear and dark wax, followed by drybrushing a small amount of Old White over the dark wax.  This piece is available at ReFresh Home.

  1. Simply love this whitewashed look! I am in the middle of a side table transformation and am contemplating a pickled finish. I'm using Coco and will use Old White as the wash. Hope your piece sells soon! ~ Sue
