Buffet versatility

I don't know about you all but sometimes I just can't keep up with life!  Things have been busy around here over the last 2 weeks but my sweet {and very helpful} mother-in-law came in town for a few days and I was able to accomplish a lot {apparently that included catching a chest cold}.  I was home sick today but find it very hard to just rest so I decided to break out the laptop and get a new post up {from my comfy bed, of course}.
I have been dying to post pictures of a buffet I completed over the weekend.  Buffets are fabulous because they are so versatile.  See for yourself...

The height of the buffet is 37 inches making it perfect for a changing table or its original purpose, a buffet server.  Poor girl was screaming for a face lift to highlight those beautiful details!

The drawers were in very good condition but I wanted "her" to look extra special so I lined them.  One of the drawers even includes a divider which is another plus to using it in a nursery.

As much as I would love to keep this piece for myself, it is available for purchase {Update: SOLD}.

I love seeing furniture put to use in a different way than it was intended.  Do you look for versatile pieces when shopping for your home?  Don't be shy...share below!

Love it! And I love versatile furniture. We moved 6 times in our first four years of marriage and it was helpful to be able to use furniture for different things depending on the space in our new house/apartment!

  11. The grey on grey variation is perfect, you've got to be so pleased with how it turned out, I know I would be! This project would be perfect for our new linky party featuring "Transformations" called Repurpose-Remodel-Reveal, I know our readers would love to see it too! (It starts Friday, March 2nd 2012 at 7:00 am MST and reoccures every 1st and 3rd Friday)
